The Blade Bolt is what holds the blade onto the machine so that it doesn't fly away. Once paired up with the outer flange, it will be safe and secure on your machine. If you cross thread this bolt when fitting a blade, it can become impossible to remove, if so you will need to cut it off and replace immediately otherwise you won't be able to fit a blade to your saw
