Hitachi HiKoki Throttle Lever FOR ENGINE GRASS TRIMMER AND BRUSH CUTTER 

This lever is part of the throttle control mechanism on petrol engine garden / outdoor power machines (brushcutters, grass trimmers, hedge trimmers, pole saws etc). It allows the user to modulate engine speed by controlling how much throttle is open.

It attaches to the throttle cable / throttle assembly, and when the lever is pressed (or squeezed), it pulls or pushes the cable, which changes the position of the throttle valve on the carburettor (or equivalent), increasing fuel/air mixture flow so the engine revs increase. When released, a spring returns it to idle.
