Please note that the 404717 battery is now obsolete and can no longer be purchased. It has been replaced by this 018890 battery which fits all the same tools but is now a Ni-Mh instead of Ni-Cd. Nickel metal hydride batteries are slightly more expensive, but they are a much better battery due to the chemical composition. They no longer have the "memory effect" that Ni-Cd's had and as a result will have a longer performance time.
