These carbon brushes are very popular in DeWalts catalogue. Due to the nature of a carbon brush, these wear down the more your tool is used. This is because they are constantly pressed and rubbing against your tools motor in order to provide electricity to the motor as it is spinning. It is normal to have to replace these carbon brushes.
